Criminal Cases Disposed
On Nov. 4, 20-year-old Severian Ceiony Allen was found guilty of driving without a valid license.
On Nov. 5, 31-year-old Seth Solomon Matchian was found guilty of driving under the influence.
On Nov. 7, 50-year-old Marco Antonio Gonzalez was found guilting at trial on five charges of offering a false instrument for recording and five charges of violating the conditions of release for a felony.
On Nov. 12, 59-year-old Larry Clark Mitchell Jr., pled guilty to fourth degree assault.
On Nov. 12, 30-year-old Pearl Cady pled guilty to a charge of driving without a valid license.
On Nov. 19, 42-year-old Jacquelyne Adelaid Taylor pled guilty to driving while under the influence for a May 1, 2025, case. She also pled guilty to driving while under the influence, misconduct involving a controlled substance and violating the conditions of release for a misdemeanor.
On Nov. 19, 32-year-old Jesse Alexander Black pled guilty to fourth-degree assault, causing fear of injury, and fourth-degree assault, recklessly causing physical injury to another person.
On Nov. 21, 33-year-old Devon Owen Corbell pled guilty to fourth-degree assault recklessly causing physical injury to another person, fourth-degree theft of less than $250 in value and criminal trespass.
On Nov. 26, 38-year-old Deanna Ruth Andree pled guilty to driving while under the influence.

On Dec. 10, 38-year-old Crystal Dawn Golden pled guilty of fourth-degree theft with a value of less than $250.
On Dec. 10, 27-year-old Anna Marie Johnson pled guilty to driving while intoxicated.
On Dec. 12, 64-year-old Dale John Gleadall pled guilty to second-degree assault, causing injury with a weapon, and violating the conditions of release for a felony.
On Dec. 12, 24-year-old Caprice Naomi Urton McAllister pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident in June. She also pled guilty to Oct. 31 charges of misconduct with a controlled substance and violating the conditions of release for a misdemeanor.
On Dec. 22, 31-year-old Jonathan Allan Weseman pled guilty to misconduct with a controlled substance.
On Dec. 22, 52-year-old Andrew Edward Kita pled guilty to driving while under the influence.
On Dec. 22, 59-year Joe Higdon Rand Jr., pled guilty to driving while under the influence.
On Dec. 23, 24-year-old Zasima Andrei Martushev pled guilty to possessing child pornography.
On Dec. 23, 44-year-old Rueben James Lopez pled guilty to third degree assault, causing injury with a weapon.
On Dec. 24, 28-year-old Dakota James Alward pled guilty to driving without a valid license.
On Dec. 24, 34-year-old Jenny Ruth Dill pled guilty to driving while under the influence.
On Dec. 24, 38-year-old Kyle David Rurey pled guilty to disorderly conduct.
On Dec. 24, 54-year-old Kirsten Ann Lewis pled guilty to misconduct with a controlled substance near a school and possession of a controlled substance.
Alaska State Troopers
On Nov. 30 at approximately 5:20 p.m., Alaska State Troopers got a report of a disturbance near East End in Homer. Troopers responded and contacted a 40-year old woman. They arrested her on assault charges and took her to the Homer jail.
On July 15, 2025 at about 8:07 p.m., Alaska Wildlife Troopers were patrolling in Cook Inlet and found a 47-year-old Homer man fishing in closed water. A mandatory court citation was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.
On Dec. 2 at 11:08 a.m. Anchor Point Alaska State Troopers took a report of an employee of a business in Homer deflating all four tires on a coworker’s personal vehicle. They investigated and found that a 46-year-old Homer man removed all four valve stems of the vehicle in retaliation for a previous argument the two had. The man is out on conditions of release that state he is to obey all federal, state and local laws. He was issued a summons for fifth-degree criminal mischief and violating his conditions of release.
On Dec. 6 at about 3:10 p.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point got a report of a trespass at Three Bears in Ninilchik. A woman was located inside the store after she had been advised that she was trespassed from the premises. She also violated conditions of release. She was arrested and taken to the Homer Police Department without incident.
On Dec. 9 at about 8:30 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death investigation. They responded to a home and located 57-year-old Elisa Russ, of Homer, dead in her home. No foul play is suspected but they are still investigating. Russ’s next of kin was notified.
On Dec. 12 at 1:55 p.m. Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point got a report of a protective order violation. Investigation revealed that a 47-year-old Port Graham man sent mail to the petitioner in violation of a protective order. He was arrested on Dec. 18 and taken to the Homer jail without incident.
On Dec. 12 at 9:52 a.m. Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point got a report of a deceased person. Tarri Thurman, 68, died away at her home near Waterman Road in Homer. Next-of-kind has been notified.
On. Dec. 11 at 4:11 p.m., Troopers responded to an address on the Old Sterling Highway for a report of a woman refusing to get out of a vehicle. When they arrived, they could hear a physical altercation coming from the property. They found a 42-year-old Anchor Point woman. After investigating they arrested her for third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest. She was taken to the Homer Jail for her charges.
On Dec. 13, Alaska State Troopers took multiple “report every dangerous driver immediately” calls of a driver driving northbound on the Sterling Highway. The vehicle stopped and an investigation revealed that a 54-year-old man was driving impaired and had his driver’s license revoked. He was arrested and remanded to the Homer jail where he refused to provide a breath sample for a chemical test.
On Dec. 13 at approximately 7:52 a.m., Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point received a report of an expected home death. 73-year-old James Kieneitz died at his home near Sibson Drive in Homer. Next-of-kin has been notified.
On Dec. 13, Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point got a report of a deceased person in Homer. Investigation determined that 65-year-old Jon Marlon Prazen had died in his home. No foul play is suspected and next-of-kin have been notified.
On Dec. 13 at approximately 5:40 p.m., Alaska State Troopers stopped a vehicle in the Anchor Point area and contacted a 36-year-old man. He was the only person in the vehicle. Investigation revealed that his license was revoked. He was given a summons for driving while license revoked which has a mandatory court appearance.
On Dec. 16, at about 4:45 p.m., the Alaska State Troopers got a report of a disturbance in the Anchor Point area, where it was reported a firearm was discharged during the disturbance. Troopers contacted a 27-year-old Anchor Pint man. Investigation revealed he discharged a rifle during a verbal disturbance with another individual. Records showed he was on conditions of release for a previous misdemeanor case. He was arrested and remanded to the Homer jail for one count of third–degree and one count of Violating Conditions of Release.
On Dec. 17 at 1:40 p.m. an Anchor Point Alaska State Trooper was fueling their patrol vehicle at the Fritz Creek General Store when they saw someone who was staggering exit a vehicle that just drove into the parking lot. That individual then staggered into the store. The Trooper contacted them and identified a 67-year-old Homer man. Investigation revealed that hehad driven to the store under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail without issue.
On Dec. 19 at about 12:26 a.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a REDDI report on the Parks Highway. They investigated and arrested an 18-year-old Homer man on charges of driving under the influence and being a minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol. He was taken to the Matanuska-Susitna Valley pretrial facility.
On Dec. 21 at 1:20 p.m. Alaska State Troopers got a report of an assault between family members which had occurred hours earlier in the Homer area. They investigated and found that a 52-year-old man had assaulted a family member. Trulove was later contacted at a property near Mile 18 Kenai Spur Highway in Nikiski where he was arrested and taken to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on domestic violence assault in the fourth degree.
On Dec. 21 at about 9:50 p.m., Alaska State Troopers got a call about a disturbance at a residence in Anchora Point. Troopers responded and arrested a 35-year-old Homer woman on domestic violence assault in the fourth degree. She was taken to the Homer jail.
On Dec. 23, at 11:16 a.m., an Alaska State Trooper in Anchor Point reported seeing a tan 2012 Audi A4 sedan speeding. The Trooper initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as a 51-year-old Nikolaevsk man. The Trooper checked the Alaska Public Safety Information Network and found that he was driving on a revoked license for a DUI charge. He has multiple convictions for driving under a revoked license, including one from Nov. 29, 2022. A passenger in the front seat of the vehicle was identified as 37-year-old Fairbanks man who had a warrant out for his arrest out of Palmer for failure to appear in court with a bail of $250. The men were were arrested and transported to the Homer Jail without issue.
On Dec. 26 at 12:24 a.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a home off Diamond Ridge Road for a report of a disturbance. They investigated and arrested a juvenile for assault. The juvenile was taken to the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility.
On Dec. 28, Alaska State Troopers got a report of a disturbance at a home on Walter Thomas Road in Homer. They investigated and arrested a 47-year-old Homer woman for allegedly assaulting a family member. She was taken to the Homer jail pending arraignment.
