The Homer Legislative Information Office (LIO) at 270 W. Pioneer Ave. is open to help you communicate with, learn about, participate in and track matters facing your state legislature. The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. In addition to providing legislative information, the LIO assists the public in navigating matters of state government. They are a distribution site for Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend applications, verifying passports and birth certificates for the division, and can answer questions regarding the application process.
Publication highlight: Need a refresher on how state law is created? Pick up a copy of “Legislative Process in Alaska”, also found at twww.akleg.gov under “Publications..” All publications are FREE.
