At its meeting on April 14, the Gary Thomas 100 Men Project selected the South Peninsula Haven House to receive its quarterly donation, according to an email.

The 100 Men Project is a local “giving circle” formed in 2021 to recognize the community service Gary Thomas provided to the Homer area. Its members come together four times a year, select a cause or charity to receive their support and write $100 checks each to that cause or charity. 

Haven House provides free confidential support for anyone affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Flooding resulting from a plugged roadside culvert recently damaged their building and displaced staff. 100 Men support will help them restore the building.
