In the 4 p.m. worksession, the council will review mid-biennium budget adjustments and hear from the city’s insurance broker, USI, on healthcare renewal.

The city’s independent auditors, BDO, will present the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 audit at both the Council of the Whole and the regular meeting. The council will vote on accepting the FY25 financial statements and annual management letter.

In addition, Representative Sarah Vance will provide a legislative update in the regular meeting that starts at 6 p.m.

Public hearings will be held on:

  • Adding a ballot measure to the November 3 municipal election to continue the Homer Accelerated Roads and Trails (HART) Program and reauthorize the associated ¾% sales tax levy for up to 20 years.
  • Appropriating $2,398.66 to purchase network storage.

All city council meetings are open to the public in the Cowles Council Chambers of City Hall, 491 E.
