Exhibitor registration closes Friday, April 24




Staff Report


A free community event focused on children’s health is set for mid-May. The South Peninsula Hospital’s 33rd Safe & Healthy Kids Fair is Saturday, May 16, at Homer High School. 


This year’s exhibitors include those focused on school readiness, visions exams and sunglasses and water safety information. Anyone interested in exhibiting can apply for a spot through Friday, April 24.

Featured at the fair are booths with hands-on activities, live entertainment and a bike rodeo managed by the Homer Cycling Club. Club members will inspect bikes and helmets as part of the days activities; there will also be an opportunity to win a new bike.

Other activities for kids include face painting, karaoke, a teddy bear clinic, bookmobile and free lunch provided by the Homer-Kachemak Bay Rotary Club.
