The Homer Legislative Information Office, located at 270 W. Pioneer, is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday . The LIO is there here to help citizens communicate with, learn about, participate in, and track matters facing your State Legislature.  It also is a distribution site for Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend applications, verify passports and birth certificate for the Division, and can assist with questions. LEGISLATIVE TIDBIT:  When the House and Senate do not agree on the budget, a conference committee is appointed with members from each house to resolve the differences.  Once the measure passes from the committee, each house votes on the bill as is, no  amendments can be offered.

This is the final full week of session and meetings are subject to change with little notice and are often delayed or canceled.  Please call if there is a particular bill of interest so the LIO can keep you posted.
