The Homer Legislative Information Office, located at 270 W. Pioneer, is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The LIO is there to help citizens communicate with, learn about, participate in, and track matters facing your State Legislature.  It also is a distribution site for Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend applications, verify passports and birth certificate for the Division, and can assist with questions. LEGISLATIVE TIDBIT:  The Governor has called the Legislature into special session, beginning at 10 a.m., May 21.


A special session can be called by the Governor or by a two-thirds vote of the Legislature and is limited to 30 calendar days. 


If called by the Governor, the session is limited to topics listed on his proclamation.  You can read the proclamation HERE.
