May 27

At 3:38 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a female trespassing at an address on LaDuquesa Lane in Anchor Point. An investigation showed a 41-year-old Anchor Point woman had gone to a residence she had previously been trespassed from. She left the residence prior to troopers arriving, but she was contacted at a nearby residence. She was given a summons to appear for trespassing and released.

May 30

At 9 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a call about a domestic disturbance happening at a residence off of East End Road, in Homer. Troopers responded and conducted an investigation. Subsequent investigation resulted in a 36-year-old Homer woman being placed under arrest for one count of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, assault in the presence of a child, and second-degree unlawful contact. She was transported to the Homer Jail.

May 31

At 11:12 p.m., the Alaska State Troopers observed a driver in a dark colored truck traveling at a high rate of speed on East End Road. Troopers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. Subsequent investigation resulted in an 18-year-old Homer man being placed under arrest for one count of driving under the influence and one count of refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was transported to the Homer Jail.

June 2

At 4:43 a.m., Troopers took the report of a physical disturbance that just occurred in Nanwalek. Troopers arrived in Nanwalek later that day and subsequent investigation revealed that a 27-year-old man had physically assaulted his partner in the presence of three children. He was arrested and taken to the Homer jail for fourth-degree assault and three counts of assault in the presence of a child, all domestic violence related.

At 9:16 a.m., a Trooper was waved down at the Stariski Ridge Campground near Mile 152 Sterling Highway. The individual was reporting someone slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in the middle of the campground roadway. The individual was known to be a 36-year-old Anchor Point man. He was placed under arrest for his three active warrants. During a pat down of his person, a drug kit containing methamphetamine was found. He is on conditions of release that state he is to obey all laws and not possess or consume any controlled substances. He was then taken to the Homer Jail for misconduct involving a fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance violating conditions of release and on the three warrants.

At 4:51 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a male slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in the roadway near Mile 16 East End Road. An investigation showed a 29-year-old Uruguay man had driven the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail.

May 27

At 1:56 a.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of East Hill Road for a disturbance call. After investigation, a 32-year-old Homer man was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for disorderly conduct.

At 9:33 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Bay Vista Court for a drug call. Officers investigated and documented the occurrence. No criminal action could be sustained.

At 11:35 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of West Fairview Avenue for an assist agency call. A 911 call had been made from the address, and upon officer arrival they found the resident had a medical event. Homer Volunteer Fire Department medics were called to check on the resident.

At 12:39 p.m., officers contacted a citizen at the police station over a fraud call. A caller was posing as law enforcement and demanding money. The citizen receiving this call correctly assumed that this didn’t sound right and reported it to the police. No financial loss occurred.

At 1:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Homer Spit Road and Kachemak Drive for a motor vehicle collision. After investigation and documentation, a 42-year-old Homer woman was arrested via summons for driving with license revoked.

At 2:39 p.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of Homer Spit Road for an assault call. One male threatened another male with physical violence over an incident.

At 3:22 p.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Ben Walter Lane for a juvenile problem call. Officers were advised that several juveniles were riding their electric bikes on private property without permission. Officers made contact and advised them that they were not allowed to be on the property without permission. No further action was required.

At 4:06 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street for a theft call. Officers were advised that a local business had an aggressive shoplifter detained. After investigation, a 31-year-old Michigan man was arrested via summons for fourth-degree theft.

At 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Ben Walter Lane for a theft call. The victim reported that her red mountain bike was stolen from her place of business. The call is under investigation.

At 10:16 p.m., officers responded to the area of Gladys Court and East End Road for an assist agency call. After investigation, no further action was required.

At 11:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Hill Road and Larkspur Cour. After investigation, a 52-year-old Anchor Point woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for driving with license revoked.

May 28

At 5:24 p.m., officers responded to the 80 block of the Sterling Highway for a motor vehicle collision with damage. The incident was documented and no injuries were reported.

At 6:22 p.m., officers were flagged down in the 3600 block of Heath Street for a traffic complaint. The incident was documented and the citizen was advised of options.

May 30

At 12:48 a.m., officers responded to the area of Freight Dock Road and Homer Spit Road for a “report every aggressive driver immediately” report. Callers reported that the vehicle was driving at excessive speeds and behaving recklessly. Officers were unable to catch up with the vehicle and it was forwarded on to Alaska State Troopers.

At 4:57 a.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of West Hill Road for a disturbance call. After investigation, a 35-year-old Anchor Point woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for second-degree assault, domestic violence.

At 5:18 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West Bunnell Avenue for a trespass complaint. After investigation, a male was trespassed from the property for two years at the request of the property owner.

At 10:36 p.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Heath Street for an alarm call. Officers contacted the after hours call out to the building.

At 7:51 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Freight Dock Road for a driving under the influence call. After investigation, a 27-year-old Indiana man was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for the following charges: DUI/refusal, reckless driving and violating conditions of release.

May 31

At 12:21 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Grubstake Avenue for a disturbance call. After investigation, a 36-year-old Homer woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for the charge of fifth-degree criminal mischief, domestic violence.

At 5:55 a.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Homer Spit Road for an alarm call. The after hours call out was advised and met with officers.

At 12:45 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Kachemak Drive for a welfare check call. A caller asked that police check on a person. Parties were contacted, no further action was required.

At 11:18 p.m., officers responded to the area of East End Road and McBride Avenue for an assist agency call. Police assisted troopers with a DUI traffic stop.



May 26

Criminal cases disposed



Francis Xavier Moesh, 35, charges dismissed, fourth-degree assault (negligently injure with weapon), three counts of fourth-degree assault (cause fear of injury), and four counts of second-degree indecent exposure (victim 16+). He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief (property damage $250–$749), fourth-degree assault (cause fear of injury), and second-degree indecent exposure (victim 16+).

Taylor Vaughn Bradley, 36, charges dismissed, driving in violation of license limitation (Note: Dismissed for no probable cause in 2023). He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.

May 29


Sonja Sue Hartman, 39, charges dismissed, fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure), fifth-degree criminal mischief (damage under $250) and second-degree criminally negligent burning.
