The Kachemak Bay Birders hold a trip to to the Anchor River area on Saturday, July 18. Meet at 9 a.m. at the day-use campground area across from the boat launch parking area or meet to carpool before 8:30 a.m. in the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Visitor Center parking lot. Parking at the Alaska State Parks day-use campground is $5.

Bring binoculars, field guide or app, and scope if you have them.  Leaders for the trip will be Michelle Michaud and Jim Herbert.  Contact Jim (907-362-0020) or Michelle (907-399-3159) if you have questions.  Birders hope to see some early migrant shorebirds returning south.

All Kachemak Bay Birding trips are cosponsored by the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. All trips are free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
