July 17
At 7:37 p.m., Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep SUV for speeding. AST contacted the driver, a 28-year-old Nulato man. An investigation revealed he was Driving Under the Influence (DUI). He was given citations for speeding and open container of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, then transported and remanded to the Homer Jail for DUI.
July 18
Alaska StateTroopers in Anchor Point responded to a disturbance in the area of the Old SterlingHighway. Subsequent investigation determined a man and woman had assaulted two family members. Both parties were arrested; the woman was remanded on two counts of fourth-degree assault and one count of assault in the presence of a child. The man was remanded on one count of second-degree assault, one count of fourth-degree assault, and one count of assault in the presence of a child. Alcohol was a contributing factor in this incident.
Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point contacted a 50-year-old man during an investigation. He was found to be in possession of a concealable handgun and was subsequently arrested for Felon in Possession and remanded to the Homer Jail.

July 15
At 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Beluga Place for a Welfare Check call. A male was reported lying in the roadway. HPD and Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded.
At 8:31 a.m., officers assisted an out-of-state law enforcement agency with a Next of Kin notification about a deceased party. HPD passed this message to the appropriate agency in the state.
At 9:00 a.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Ben Walters Lane for a Vandalism call. Unknown person(s) used blue spray paint to damage the restrooms at the above location.
At 12:40 p.m., officers responded to the 90 block of the Sterling Highway for a Vandalism call. Unknown person(s) used blue spray paint to damage a wall at the above location.
At 2:11 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Bartlett Street for a Drugs call.
At 2:39 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street for a Theft call. As a result, a 19-year-old Hawaii woman was arrested via summons for fourth-degree theft and trespassed for two years.
At 3:44 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street for a Theft call. As a result, a 19-year-old Homer woman was arrested via summons for fourth-degree theft and trespassed for two years.
At 9:21 p.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Main Street for a Trespass call. The person in question was contacted and trespassed for two years from the residence.
July 16
At 12:32 a.m., officers responded to the area of Icy Bay Road and East End Road for an Assist Agency call. HPD assisted AST at their request for an injured moose in the roadway.
At 8:12 a.m., officers responded to the 4400 block of Freight Dock Road for an Assist Agency call. HPD was requested by Harbor Officers and AST to assist them with a call at this location.
At 11:50 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of W. Bunnell Street for an Assist Agency call. HPD was requested by the Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office to help serve a court summons.
At 3:38 p.m., officers responded to the 90 block of the Sterling Highway for a Welfare Check call. HPD was called to check on an intoxicated male.
At 5:13 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Cavelle Circle for an Assist Agency call. HPD assisted HVFD with a medical aid call.
At 5:32 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Nelson Avenue for a Suspicious Circumstance call. A vehicle was reported to be in the ditch at the above location. The incident was investigated and documented.
At 10:21 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Beluga Place for a Warrant Arrest call. As a result, a 29-year-old Homer man was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for failure to appear in court and violating conditions of release.
July 17
At 3:55 p.m., officers responded to the area of E. Pioneer Avenue and Svedlund Street for a Traffic call. As a result, a 54-year-old Homer man was arrested via summons for driving while license revoked.
At 10:03 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Kachemak Drive for a Harassment call. The incident was documented and the caller was advised of their options.
At 10:17 p.m., HPD was advised of a Welfare Check call. The caller stated that they saw on Facebook that a particular person was possibly suicidal. Officers responded to that location to check on the individual. People who might have suicidal thoughts or who are in crisis can call 988 for help.
July 18
At 1:28 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Ohlson Lane for an Assist Agency call. HPD assisted HVFD.
At 3:54 p.m., officers responded to the area of Homer Spit Road and Kachemak Drive for a Traffic call. As a result, a 23-year-old Anchor Point man was arrested via summons for DWLR.
July 19
At 12:33 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street for motor vehicle collision with damage. The incident was investigated, documented, and information was exchanged between the drivers.
At 7:08 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Homer Spit Road for an MVC call with damage. The incident was investigated, documented, and information was exchanged between the drivers.
At 11:38 p.m., officers responded to the area of Homer Spit Road and Mariner Drive for a Welfare Check call. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the person in question.
July 20
At 1:33 a.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Homer Spit Road for a DUI call. As a result, a 38-year-old Fairbanks woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for DUI, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and third-degree assault.
At 10:04 p.m., officers responded to the area of Lake Street and Ocean Drive for an Animal Call. The caller collected a dog that was at the side of the road and turned it in at the animal shelter.
July 21
At 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Aspen Lane for a Welfare Check call. The incident was documented.
At 10:10 a.m., officers responded to the 90 block of the Sterling Highway for a DUI call. As a result, a 48-year-old Homer woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail for DUI and Action of Operator Immediately After Accident (Hit and Run).
At 1:13 p.m., officers contacted a citizen from the 3900 block of Ben Walters Lane for a Fraud call. The victim reported fraudulent online activity in their name. The incident was documented and they were advised of their options.
At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Homer Spit Road for a Welfare Check call. After investigation, the incident resolved itself. The incident was documented.

July 10
Wayne Michael Sexton, 55, charges dismissed, third-degree assault (cause fear of injury w/ weapon). He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure) and fourth-degree criminal mischief (property damage $250-$749).
