Aug. 24

Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point conducted a traffic stop near Ninilchik on a vehicle with multiple equipment violations. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was taken to the Homer Jail on the arrest warrant and for violating his conditions of release.

Aug. 13

At 1:51 a.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of East End Road for a driving under the influence call. As a result, a 34-year-old Homer man was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail  for DUI, eluding, and two counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon.

At 10:50 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Sterling Highway for a fraud call. Illegal banking activity was reported on a customer’s account. The incident was documented, and a follow-up investigation will occur.

At 2:23 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of E. Pioneer Avenue for a recovery of a stolen vehicle call. The incident was documented and a follow-up investigation will occur.

At 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street for a suspicious circumstance call. The incident was documented.

At 10:33 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Mountain View Drive for a juvenile runaway call. The juvenile was located and returned to their parents. The incident was documented.

Aug. 18

At 10:54 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Smoky Bay Way for a motor vehicle collision call in a parking lot. Information was exchanged between drivers.

At 12:09 p.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of Svedlund for a suspicious circumstance call. The person in question was contacted and returned to the location without incident.

At 2:00 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of E. Fairview Avenue for a vandalism call. A bicycle was reported damaged. The incident was documented.

At 4:37 p.m., officers conducted a follow-up to a theft reported earlier in the 90 block of Sterling Highway. As a result, a 56-year-old Anchor Point man was arrested via summons for third-degree theft.

At 5:24 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Skyline Drive for an assist agency call. HPD assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department with a medical call.

Aug. 19

At 7:38 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of W. Bunnell Avenue for a trespass complaint. The person in question was contacted and advised of a 2-year trespass at the request of the property owner.

At 12:49 p.m., officers responded to the 90 block of Sterling Highway for an MVC call. The incident was investigated and documented, and driver information was exchanged. No citation was issued as it occurred on private property.

At 1:06 p.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Main Street for a theft call. A business owner had his telehandler taken without permission from his place of business. It was later discovered in the bushes at the base of Main Street.

At 7:21 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Ocean Drive for a trespass call. The person in question had left prior to officer arrival.

At 9:29 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of W. Bunnell Avenue for a trespass call. The person in question was issued a six-month trespass at the request of the property owner.

At 11:52 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Main Street for a trespass call. As a result, a 54-year-old Homer woman was arrested and booked into the Homer Jail  for disorderly conduct.

Aug. 20

At 8:01 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Ocean Drive for an abandoned vehicle call. As the vehicle was blocking a driveway, it was towed after the owner was contacted and refused to move it.

At 10:57 a.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Freight Dock Road for a lost property call. The incident is under investigation.

At 11:29 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Sterling Highway for a lost property call. HPD took possession of a handgun left behind at the location. The owner of the weapon is being researched.

At 1:55 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Kachemak Way for a fraud case. The reporting party reported online fraud involving an extensive amount of money. The case was documented and the reporting party was advised of their options and IC3.gov.

At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Bartlett Street for a trespass call. The person in question was trespassed from the location for six months at the request of the property owner.

At 4:29 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Mattox Street for a trespass call. The person in question was contacted and issued a one-year trespass from the property at the request of the property owner.

Criminal cases disposed

Aug. 15

Kody Lee Mexican, 28, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief (property damage $250–$749).

Aug. 17

Kimberly Marie Ketter, 43, charges dismissed, one count of misdemeanor violation of conditions of release and creating a hazardous condition (disorderly conduct). Across five separate cases, she pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree criminal trespass (upon premises), two counts of misdemeanor violation of conditions of release, and two counts of fourth-degree assault (cause fear of injury).

Rosemarie Edna Buchman, 43, charges dismissed, one count of fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure), resisting or interfering with arrest by force, one count of fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure), two counts of violating conditions of release for a felony, and second-degree assault (injury with weapon, intent). Across two cases, she pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure) and third-degree assault (commit assault 4 with two or more previous convictions).

Aug. 19

Amanda Jean Jerde, 45, charges dismissed, two counts of fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure, dismissed via plea agreement in another case) and court-ordered unlawful contact. She pleaded guilty across two cases to violating conditions of release for a misdemeanor.

Alexandria May Richards, 21, pleaded guilty to driving without motor vehicle liability insurance.

Brenda Ann Robson, 52, charges dismissed, driving with a cancelled, revoked, or suspended license for a criminal offense and violating conditions of release for a felony.

Jeffery Michael Bennett, 48, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft (less than $250).

Robert Matthew Delgado, 30, charges dismissed, driving without motor vehicle liability insurance.

Aug. 20

Luigi Chester Tedesco, 54, charges dismissed, driving with a cancelled, revoked, or suspended license with a previous conviction.

James Elwood Ohearn, 54, charges dismissed, driving with a cancelled, revoked, or suspended license with a previous conviction.

Dakota Jordan Jerauld, 35, charges dismissed, two counts of second-degree criminal trespass (upon premises).

Russell Richardson Crocker, 36, charges dismissed, seven counts of second-degree criminal trespass (upon premises).

Krystal Michele Hunter, 45, charges dismissed, fourth-degree assault (recklessly injure).
