The lodge was the recipient of a Hometown Elks Local Project Grant from the Alaska State Elks Association. On Sept. 10, Homer Elks leadership used $1,000 in grant funds to purchase and deliver food supplies to the Homer Community Food Pantry. The donated supplies provided for about 83 community members, including youth and veterans.
