Join Homer Medical Center’s Dr. Giulia Tortora next Wednesday for an informative session that breaks down the meaning behind common blood tests and screenings. This one-hour presentation is part of South Peninsula Hospital’s free weekly health talks at Wellness Wednesdays.

Whether you participated in the Rotary Health Fair blood draw or just want to learn more about your health, Tortora will explain what each test measures, what high or low results may indicate, and why regular preventative screenings are important. Participants will walk away with practical tips for understanding your results and taking charge of your health.

This event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 5:30pm at Kachemak Bay Campus. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Following Tortora’s presentation, a few local providers will be on hand from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to offer free lab results interpretation.

Participants are also invited to stay for free soup and gentle movement yoga, where all levels are welcome.
