The Homer Independent Press appreciates your contributions to staunchly local reporting on the southern Kenai Peninsula! We are a nonprofit corporation registered in Alaska and we are working towards federal recognition as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This means that, for now, your donations are highly valuable to us but do not qualify as a federal tax deduction. In addition, as a politically neutral organization, we do not accept donations from political candidates on behalf of their election campaign, political parties, or political organizations. Of course we encourage everyone running for office or working for a political party or organization to drop a few of their personal funds in our bank to support our independent coverage of the election process and equal coverage of candidates.

Donations of all levels ensure our weekly reporting can continue. They all help us meet our mission to serve you with local news and information! Donations over $5,000 will be gratefully received, and the names of donors will be reported, as required by law, in our annual adit and tax filings.
