Staff report
At its quarterly meeting last Thursday, the Gary Thomas 100 Men Project selected the Homer Independent Press to receive its quarterly donation, according to an email.
The 100 Men Project is a local “giving circle” formed in 2021 to recognize the incredible community service Gary Thomas provided to the Homer area. Its members come together quarterly, select a cause or charity to receive their support and write $100 checks each to that cause or charity.
The anticipated donation to Homer Independent Press is between $8,000 and $10,000, depending on final contributions.
“Thank you for the important work you do to make Homer a better place to live, work and play,” the 100 Men Project wrote in the email.
