Officers were elected and two new members were appointed to the South Peninsula Hospital Inc. Board of Directors at the group’s December meeting.
The board re-elected Aaron Weisser, president; Preston Simmons, vice president; and Beth Wythe, secretary. Newly elected as treasurer was Mike Dye.
Appointed to three-year terms were Jim Anderson and Ken Ciccoli, both of Homer.


Anderson, who was born at South Peninsula Hospital and raised in Homer, left for some time, but returned four years ago with his family. He is a property investment manager and business brand consultant. In addition to serving as vice president of the Homer Chamber of Commerce board of directors and as a board member for the Homer Council on the Arts, Anderson also helps on other boards and committees and is active in arts and youth programs, according to a press release from South Peninsula Hospital.
Ciccoli previously has worked as a cancer pathology lab manager and has a continuing interest in medicine. He is the founding partner and CEO of Inlet Law. He has served on the boards of the Homer Softball Association and Fisheries for the Future and is involved in local athletic programs, according to the release.
Ending his board term after 12 years of service was Walt Partridge, who served as treasurer during most of his board tenure and as a member of the finance committee.
The officers and new board members formally took their seats at the board’s Jan. 28 meeting.
According to its website, “South Peninsula Hospital Inc. is a nonprofit organization governed by a 9- to 11-member board of directors which ensures the hospital is fiscally sound while maintaining the quality of care and types of services desired by the residents in the Southern Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service Area.”
