March 4


At 12:52 p.m., officers received a report about parked, abandoned vehicles on the Homer Spit. This case is under investigation.

At 3:10 p.m., officers issued a trespass warning to a Homer woman at the request of a Homer business. The woman was suspected of being a frequent shoplifter.

At 4:30 p.m., officers received a report of a sexual assault. This case is under investigation.



March 5


At 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances. No crime had occurred.

At 2:02 p.m., officers responded to the report of two people leaving a local store with goods they had not paid for. A 47-year-old Anchor Point man and a 36-year-old Anchor Point woman were arrested for second-degree theft.



March 6


At 2:06 p.m., officers received a report of harm.


At 4:03 p.m., a caller reported a prank call.




March 8


At 10:02 p.m., officers assisted Alaska State Troopers.



March 9


At 3:44 p.m., officers assisted a person with a medical problem. No criminal conduct was involved.



March 10


At 2:58 a.m., officers received a report of a possible forgery. No crime had occurred.


At 4:44 p.m., officers responded to the report of one person threatening another. No crime had occurred.




Alaska State Troopers

March 10

At 6:30 p.m. Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Anchor Point. Troopers responded and investigation revealed that a 55-year-old Anchorage man committed third-degree, fourth-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, all domestic violence related. Troopers transported the man to the Homer Jail on his charges.


Criminal Dispositions


March 2


Bethany Marie Lafond, 35, charges dismissed, interfere with report of domestic violence crime and assault when child present. She pleaded guilty to sixth-degree disorderly conduct (create hazardous condition – Counts 1 and 2).


Allan Gregory Washburn, 54, charges dismissed, first-degree criminal trespass (on land, intend crime) and third-degree theft (value $250-$749 – Count 2 of 3HO-25-00279CR). He pleaded guilty to third-degree theft (value $250-$749) across cases 3HO-25-00258CR, 3HO-25-00279CR, and 3HO-25-00285CR.


Margaret Jean Lockwood, 76, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence


March 3

Karsen Gene Walker, 18, charges dismissed, driving under the influence.

March 4


Preston Michael Cavner, 49, charges dismissed, commercial activities in state park without permit and sport fish guiding without registering with Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
