Ptarmigan Arts holds its annual scholarship fundraiser, 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 25 — an evening of live art hosted by Grace Ridge Brewery, 870 Smoky Bay Way.
Nearly 20 artists will create from raw materials to a completed piece in just one hour. Two food trucks will offer sandwiches and snacks for purchase during the event.
This annual event raises funds for the Ptarmigan Arts Scholarship. Artists donate work created during the event to a silent and live auction. Funds from sold artwork support the $3,000 annual art scholarship awarded to a high school student living in the Southern Kenai Peninsula.
The silent auction opens for bids when artists begin working at 6 p.m. and wrap their works at 7 p.m.
The highest bid placed during the silent auction will be the starting bid for the live auction which begins at 7 p.m. when all artwork is complete.
Additional works donated to the silent auction will be available throughout the evening. This area will close to bids at 7:30 p.m.
