Two swimmers medal in meet

Eight athletes with Kachemak Swim Club tripled the number of points at the Alaska Swimming State Championships held April 23 to 26, with Taylor Dickerson earning a gold medal in the 100-yard breaststroke and silver in the 50 breaststroke. Benjamin Overdorf won silver in the 1,000 freestyle and bronze in the 200 butterfly.

In total, the team scored 330 points, triple what they scored in 2025.  Swimmers competed in relay events daily as well as preliminaries for individual events in the morning and finals in the afternoon. Jeremiah and Benjamin Overdorf broke three team records. Jeremiah Overdorf also had two zones qualifying times achieved. The best time percentage was 50%.
