May 12

At about 6:50 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report about a missing ATV trailer in Anchor Point. Subsequent investigation resulted in Troopers locating the trailer. They issued a summons to a 51-year-old Anchor Point woman for third-degree theft.


Homer Police


May 5

At 11:24 a.m., officers were asked to check the welfare of a family member who stated lived “somewhere in the City of Homer.” Investigation ongoing.

At 6:21 p.m., officers responded to the area of Forest Glen Drive and Soundview Avenue for a vehicle in the ditch. Officers investigated and determined that no criminal activity had occurred.


May 6


At 9:27 a.m., officers responded to the area of the Sterling Highway and Main Street for a motor vehicle collision. Information was exchanged between drivers.

At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block  of Ocean Drive for a custodial interference call. Officers contacted the party and advised options given the facts of the case.

At 8:47 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block  of Ocean Drive for a theft call. After investigation, the victim of the theft was advised of their options.


May 11

At 10:21 a.m., officers responded to the 90 block of the Sterling Highway for a theft call. After investigation the subject of the investigation was trespassed from this location for one year.

At 6:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Bartlett Street. As a result, a 29-year-old Homer man was arrested and booked into the Homer Community Jail for a charge of Driving With License Suspended.

At 6:12 p.m., officers also served a State of Alaska warrant on the 29-year-old Homer man for failure to appear on a charge of second-degree burglary.

At 9:14 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Waddell Street for a violation of conditions call. Upon officer arrival, the party in question was gone.


May 12


At 8:31 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Smokey Bay Way for a vandalism call. An investigation occurred and follow-up will be done if new information comes forward.

At 10:47 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Kachemak Drive for a lost property report. After investigation, the property in question was ultimately found.

At 12:33 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Adams Drive for a violation of conditions report.

At 2:05 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Grubstake Avenue for a warrant arrest. As a result, a 33-year-old Homer man was arrested and booked into the HCJ for a failure to report warrant.

At 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of East End Road for an assist citizen report. After investigation, the reporting party was advised of their options.

At 9:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and the Sterling Highway. As a result, a 55-year-old Anchorage woman was arrested and booked into the HCJ for a charge of felony driving under the influence.


Criminal Cases Disposed


May 4

Sarah Krista Kirk, 37, charges dismissed, first-degree vehicle theft, second-degree theft (firearm/explosive), second-degree theft (value $750-$24,999), and driving while license cancelled, revoked or suspended for criminal offense. (Note: Defendant found incompetent).

Levi Steven Tangman, 39, charges dismissed, violating conditions of release for misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment (likely to provoke violence).


May 6

Cole Bleu Bernier, 24, charges dismissed, third-degree assault (cause injury with weapon) He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.

Elizar Reutow Anfilofev, 28, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence .

Curtis Michael Smith, 61, pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree misconduct involving weapons (felon in possession).

Linda Jacobson Bischoff, 72, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.

Hannah Ward, 36, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.


May 8

Randy Mark Davis Jr., 46, charges dismissed, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to chemical test, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft (less than $250), fifth-degree criminal mischief (damage under $250), two counts of violating condition of release, and two counts of unlawful abandonment.
