While President Donald Trump celebrated his 80th birthday on Flag Day, June 14, about 140 people noted the occasion with another No Kings protest at the corner of Lake Street and the Homer Bypass.

Although many signs have become faded from numerous protests starting with Trump’s inauguration in 2025, protesters added some fresh messages. One man held a sign that read “Put Donald in the cage,” a reference to the mixed-martial arts competition held outside the White House. Another sign read “Elect a clown; expect a circus.” Another said “Feed the poor not the war.”
While many people honked their horns or waved in support, a few counter protesters drove by. Two people in pick-up trucks passed the protest flying flags the size of wall tents that read “Trump 2024: Take America back.” Others gave a thumbs down to the protest.
Many No Kings protesters carried U.S. flags.

going to keep asking (because I know the answer and i know you know the answer), why a ‘no kings’ protest – why not be specific and protest ‘no Trump’ or ‘Trump sucks’ or against specific policies you don’t like? the game is the game and you are feeding it.
