Most services will still be available Aug. 4 to 8.

Staff report

The Homer Public Library building will close Aug. 4 to 8 for the installation of a security grille near the front entrance. The grille will make the library’s meeting room available to the community after regular library hours.

Most library services will be available during closure, but some will be suspended temporarily.

The public can still check out and return library materials at the curbside pickup station. Library staff will be onsite during regular business hours and available to answer emails and phone calls. Wi-Fi also will be available in the parking lot and areas around the building.

All regular library programs will be cancelled Tuesday through Saturday, Aug. 4 to 8 and will resume the following week.

Printing and photocopying will not be available during the building closure, but staff can refer patrons to alternatives for these services.

The library building will reopen for normal business on Monday, Aug. 10.

For questions, contact the Homer Public Library at 907-235-3180 or circ@ci.homer.ak.us.
