Paul Banks

Paul Banks, 71, passed away on July 24, 2026. A lifelong Homer resident, he lived on East Hill, enjoying gardening, fishing and gold panning. Known for his quiet, gentle nature, he loved everyone, especially children. Paul worked locally doing boat sandblasting, construction and janitorial work.

A Catholic funeral liturgy will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 255 Ohlson Lane, Homer. Deacon Kurt Elder will preside over the liturgy and officiate the Rite of Committal, which will follow at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery.
