In its initial post, the Coast Guard put out a request for information, writing it had been trying to contact the F/V Night Hawk, a 40-foot gillnetter homeported in Homer, with three crew on board: Todd Jasper, Laura Jasper and Jessy Ackermann.
About noon Monday, crew from a Good Samaritan vessel got the Night Hawk’s engine running. The Coast Guard canceled its urgent marine information request.
