Come out and support the Anchor Point Food Pantry in a family-friendly, fun fall event from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the VFW Post 10221.
The pantry’s annual Frontier Days fundraiser will feature an affordable, all-you-can-eat chili and barbecue dinner, games, a cupcake walk, a petting zoo and a dessert and silent auctions. Suggested donations for dinner are $10 per person and $20 per family.
Donations made to APFP up to $4,000 will be doubled by the Knights of Columbus, Homer-Kachemak Bay Rotary Club and a local resident — doubling the impact to families that rely on the pantry.
The Anchor Point Food Pantry is a lifeline for more than 250 households between Ninilchik and Homer. Volunteers serve nearly 6,000 meals to patrons annually and provide free summer lunches and weekend meal packs during the school year for children.
