From 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, stop by any one of three drive-through locations in Homer, Fritz Creek and Anchor Point for a complimentary breakfast bag and information on breast health and screening resources, while supplies last.

Each bag will include breakfast treats, giveaways and information about breast health, early detection, regular screening and local resources for accessing mammograms and other breast health services.

Regular breast cancer screening can help detect breast cancer early, when it is often easier to treat. When breast cancer is found early, 99% of people live at least five more years. When it’s found at an advanced stage, that rate drops to about 30%.

Brake for Breakfast is hosted annually by South Peninsula Hospital, in partnership with Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic and the Ninilchik Tribal Council.
