April 22, 2026 UPDATE: Alaska State Troopers reported that Emma Rader has been located. Pastor Jake Gerasimof of Homer Independent Baptist Church confirmed that she was found safe and is at home.
Pastor Gerasimof provided Homer Independent Press with a statement from the Rader family:
“The Rader family would first like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for watching over Emma, keeping her safe, and bringing her home. They are deeply grateful for the many prayers lifted up for Emma and for the Lord’s clear answer to those prayers.
“They would also like to express their sincere appreciation to the communities of Homer, Anchor Point, and Ninilchik, so many people came out from Ninilchik School, Homer Independent Baptist Church, Coast Guard Cutter Aspen & Neighbors. They count all these volunteers as family and are very grateful for them. The outpouring of support, the willingness of volunteers to give their time and effort, and the unity shown during the search have been a huge blessing to their family.
“The family is especially thankful for the kindness shown through the provision of food and coffee by Blue Bus Diner, which served both the family and the many volunteers involved.
“They are also grateful for the dedication and professionalism of the Alaska State Troopers, whose efforts were great in this family’s time of need.
The Rader family is overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown by this community during such a difficult time.”
